Moroccan Achraf Hakimi entered a crying fit after the historic victory

Moroccan Achraf Hakimi entered a crying fit after the historic victory:

Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi could not hide his tears after the Lions beat Canada 2-1 at Al Thumama Stadium on Thursday evening, to top their group in the World Cup for the first time in 36 years.

During his trip, Ashraf Hakimi won the Champions League and major titles with brilliant clubs such as Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Dortmund, but he was not emotionally affected as he fell when Morocco qualified for the round of 16 in the World Cup.

And the Moroccan star stated about the reason for crying, as he went out in a press conference after the end of the match, as reported by “Reuters” agency: “I did not dream of achieving such an achievement for my country. For a long time and for many years, success with the national team is more important.”

And he said, the star of the French Paris Saint-Germain team: “I cried because I saw my family around me, my child, and the audience. We made history and we are proud. I am happy with this generation. We are a family, not just a team.”

Ashraf also stated that he entered the Canada match suffering from an injury, but he insisted on playing for his country, as he said: “I was injured, but I wanted to support the team.”

And Regragui added, in statements on the official account of the World Cup on Twitter: “Hakimi is a man that every Moroccan should kiss his head. He played the match while he was injured, and he refused to go out whenever we wanted to take him out.
