Will Messi really return to Barcelona?

While Barcelona fans are anxiously awaiting the return of Lionel Messi to the team, press reports revealed that Blaugrana coach Xavi Hernandez is worried about the possible return of the Argentine star.

Xavi's concern is linked in particular to Barcelona's top scorer Lewandowski. How is that?

Barcelona fans lamented the departure of the legend Lionel Messi from the Catalan team, especially since the Argentine star was the most credited with the Blaugrana's ascension to the local and continental podiums over the years.

Weeks ago, Barcelona fans began to regain hope of a possible return to Messi for the team, after several press reports indicated that Barcelona wanted to restore Messi, who currently carries the shirt of the French team Paris Saint-Germain.

And it seems that Messi's possible return to the Catalan team is not welcome by everyone, as the British newspaper "Express" revealed that Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is concerned about the possible return of Argentine legend Lionel Messi to the ranks of the Catalan team.

The same source added that Xavi is concerned about how to integrate Messi and Robert Lewandowski into the same team, adding that this issue represents an obstacle when it comes to completing the deal to return Messi to Barcelona.

The same source reported that Barcelona signed Lewandowski to replace Messi, as the Polish international starred remarkably with the Catalan team and succeeded in scoring 17 goals so far in all competitions.

The newspaper "Express" indicated that Barcelona is currently full of strikers such as: Lewandowski, Depay, Dembele, Rafinha, Torres, which makes it difficult for Messi to play mainly in the event of his return to his former team.

"Express" indicated that Barcelona signed Lewandowski to be the main player in the team, which the Polish top scorer has succeeded in proving so far.

Lewandowski, 34, had fought a strong battle against his former club Bayern Munich in order to allow him to leave for Barcelona.

The Polish goal machine starred with the Bavarian team and won several individual and group titles.

On the other hand, Lionel Messi, 35, is presenting more than impressive levels this season with the Paris Saint-Germain team.

Messi's contract with the Paris team expires at the end of the current season. The team's management hopes to extend Messi's contract, but things have not yet been resolved.

It is noteworthy that Argentine media revealed a few weeks ago that Messi will return to Barcelona once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires.
