The dispute between Josep Guardiola and Ibrahimovic returns to the fore

Manchester City's coach, the English Premier League champion, Pep Guardiola, responded to a "verbal attack" against him by veteran AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic, in previous statements, expressed his admiration for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, but considered that his development under Guardiola "depends on the coach's arrogance. If he allows him to become older than him or not."

On Friday, the Spanish coach responded sarcastically to the statements of the 41-year-old "Sultan", who had previously fought one season under the technical leadership of Guardiola with Barcelona.

Pepe's sarcastic remarks at a press conference:

• "He (Ibrahimovic) is right. He is absolutely right. In this team I am superior to anyone else, every player."

• "I don't like it when Erling scores 3 goals and all the highlights are for him. I'm so jealous. Honestly, so jealous."

• "I told Erling please no more goals, otherwise the newspapers won't talk about me, only about me. He (Ibrahimovic) is right, he knows me perfectly."

It is noteworthy that the relationship between Ibrahimovic and Guardiola is not good, since differences erupted between them in the 2009-2010 season, which Ibra fought in the Barcelona shirt, and at that time the coach was Pep.

The differences prompted the Swedish star to leave the Catalan team, which he played for one season, as he moved to Milan and then completed his journey with football in Europe and the United States.
