Thibaut Courtois was named the best goalkeeper in the world
Belgian international Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid's goalkeeper, won the Liv Yashin award for the best goalkeeper in the world for the 2021-2022 season, presented by the French magazine "France Football" on Monday evening.
Courtois was the reason why Real Madrid won the La Liga, Champions League, and Spanish Super Cup
Courtois, 30, played 52 games with the Royal Club last season, netting 46 goals while keeping a clean sheet in 22 games.
Courtois beat Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, Chelsea goalkeeper Edward Mendy and Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
