Jokes Between Lewandowski and Benzema Keep Fans entertained

 Lewandowski jokes with Benzema:

Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski joked Thursday that his French opponent Karim Benzema will win the Ballon d'Or for the best player in the world this year if it is not canceled again.

It was pointed out that the current Barcelona striker is the most likely candidate to win the prestigious individual award for the best player in the world in 2020 when he was playing in the colors of Bayern Munich, but the ceremony was canceled for the first time since the award was established in 1956 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Lewandowski won the consolation prize as he was awarded the "Striker of the Year" at the 2021 ceremony, while Argentine legend Lionel Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, won the Ballon d'Or for the seventh time in his football career.

"(Benzema) may be one of the favorites to win the Ballon d'Or," Lewandowski told Movistar channel Thursday.

He added, "If they do not cancel the award, it is likely that he will win this Ballon d'Or."

"I wanted to tell Robert Lewandowski that it was a great honor to face him," Messi said during the 2021 ceremony, adding: "He deserved to win it last year."
