 Jack Grealish injury

Manchester City's Jack Grealish has decided he has "never come close" to full fitness and continues to recover from an adductor muscle injury, but is confident he will be at his best when he returns to the team.

Grealish was injured last month and has only made six matches in all competitions this season.

"I'm not at my best at the moment, I played 90 minutes against West Ham United and 45 minutes against Bournemouth when I was injured, I had enough time to improve my fitness over time," City's website said.

"I need a lot of training to do my best and then I'll get chances on the court and then you'll see the best version of Jack Grealish," he said.

Grealish, who joined from Aston Villa in August last year for 100 million pounds in the biggest deal in Premier League history, has scored one route this season, but England is not nervous about their numbers.

He continued: “For me, not everything is related to goals and passes. I am looking forward to playing better in the second half of the season and this is what I am asking. I do not need to be informed by anyone. Adapting to Pep Guardiola’s team and his system takes time and I am sure that I will adapt.”
